Dr Sugandh Dixit

As a clinical psychologist, I embrace a philosophical approach that recognizes the profound influence of layered intrapsychic, interpersonal, and socio-cultural factors on our well-being. This approach eschews the traditional focus on "fixing" individuals. I have been working as a clinician and trainer for over a decade now, having been associated with various organisations, including Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh,  South Asian Women (SAKHI) ( New York), Pace University, (New York), and  Bapu Trust,  (Pune).

Currently, I am in private practice in New Delhi, India (NCR), working predominantly with late adolescent and adult individuals. I also provide training & supervision to clinicians, emphasising the active integration of the social lens in approaching trauma. I also offer individual and group supervision to other therapists, and several trainings for advanced learning for other professionals. Additionally, I am part of the core team at Mad in South Asia, an initiative to bring you closer to lived experiences and critical perspectives in psychology. We shed light on lived experiences, marginalised and missing voices from a truly feminist, inclusive, cultural and non-pathologizing lens. At the moment, we span India, China and Vietnam, but hope to include all other parts of SA as well.
